Against a Collingwood side who had disappointed so far in 2016 the Demons got off to a fast start, kicking the last five goals of the first quarter to hold a 30 point lead. The margin got out to as much as 42 before Collingwood launched a comeback.
Led by four first half goals to Jack Watts the Demons held on to their comfortable lead at half time, seeing off challenges in both the third and last quarters to win comfortably.
