"Rocky" Cranston came from a gridiron background to play in the VFL. After not playing her first competitive game until Year 12 she played as a full-forward, a midfielder and a pinch-hitting ruck. A member of the inaugural AFLW team, she was the Melbourne player suspended in the new competition after head high contact on debut.
Cranston played six of seven games in 2018, improving to five goals then left at the end of the season to join the new Geelong AFLW team. She played three seasons for Geelong before being delisted. In 2022 she joined the Western Bulldogs, retiring at the end of 2023.
