Seconds Premiership player - 1956
After training with Richmond in 1954, the 17-year-old ruckman instead joined Melbourne in 1955 after being the outstanding player in the Catholic Colleges' competition. He had previously kicked 15 goals in a grand final.
After impressing in pre-season games he was granted a two match permit to join the Demons early in the season and began playing Seconds. He wore number 10 in 1956 and played in a Seconds premiership in 1956 but did not appear in a senior match and returned to Thornton in 1957.
His sons Peter Tossol and John Tossol played in the 1980s.
