Ruckman who was cleared to Melbourne in July 1943 but didn't play seniors until 1945. His first season was Rowarth's best, but he played the end of the season out under an injury cloud after suffering a fall in Round 13. Linked to Oakleigh early in the 1946 season, Rowarth stayed but only played seven games that year and two more in 1947.
Played for Ballarat East in 1951. Captain coach of Murtoa in 1952 and played there until July 1953, when he was cleared to Nhill. He remained there through 1954.
His cousin Alan later played for the Demons.
