Defender who joined the Demons after winning an A-Grade amateurs premiership with Ormond and playing for the Victorian Amateur representative side.
Rowse played on Essendon's John Coleman in his first game and conceded seven goals. He played in five more losses before his season was ended by a broken hand. In 1952, Rowse joined Merbein as playing coach, where he remained through 1955. In 1959 he was in charge of South Mildura.
