Lowest score conceded against Greater Western Sydney

On a warm day at Casey, where the game had been moved from Sunday afternoon due to hot weather, Melbourne dominated the visitors. GWS went within five minutes of being the first AFLW team to finish a game scoreless. They had several chances during the game but were wasteful in attack.

The Demons were also wasteful in front of goals, regularly kicking behinds. Considering the inability of their opponents to score, the Shelley Scott goal that made the three quarter time margin 26 points all but ensured the home side would win. They added three more goals in the final term before finally conceding one late.

Best were Mithen, Hanks and West. Ali Brown was a late replacement for Sarah Lampard (illness) despite playing a full game for the Casey VFLW side earlier in the day.
