Tall forward recruited from Tasmania in 1926. Didn't make the Melbourne team and went to VFA side Brighton. Cleared to Rosedale as playing coach in March 1927, but by early May he was cleared to Corowa. In early June he resigned as Corowa coach.
In 1922, while at Cananone, he and an opponent were charged by police with "disturbing the peace" after a mid-match brawl.
