The son of former Melbourne ruckman Jeff White was also eligible to join Gold Coast after playing in their academy system, but opted to join Melbourne instead. White had previously been named in the 2023 Under 16 All Australian team, and was a member of the AFL Academy in 2024 and 2025. During 2025 White trained with Melbourne in the pre-season and played for Casey Demons during the year before being drafted.
Spent one season with Melbourne before being delisted at the end of 2026. White was invited to train with Melbourne in the 2027 pre-season.
