Called up as a late replacement for his first game, the half-back played two senior games in 1927 and remained on the list in 1928 before being cleared to Prahran before Round 2 of the season.
Played for Yarraville from 1929 to mid-1932 when he was cleared back to Prahran on residential grounds. Earlier that season he'd been refused a clearance to Footscray. He joined Footscray for six games in 1933, then went back to Prahran for one more game in 1934.
