Ex-South Australian who was residentially tied to Melbourne in 1959 and trained with both sides in the pre-season. His goal was to play with South Melbourne, but as the Demons held his rights he was forced to appear with them first.

He was eventually cleared to the Swans before Round 2, 1959, where he played under the name Dick Bourke.
