1926 Seconds player who had appeared in one game for Collingwood in each of the preceeding two seasons. He was cleared in June, and played out the season with Melbourne without appearing in the senior side.

In April 1927 he was cleared to Hawthorn, adding another 29 games to his VFL career with the Mayblooms between 1927 and 1929.

His uncle Syd played for Richmond, Essendon and North Melbourne.
