Forward who was recruited on the recommendation of MCC Secretary Vernon Ransford, then promoted to the seniors after eight and nine goal hauls in the Seconds.
After five games in his debut season, Bell had a delayed start to 1947 due to a fractured wrist and only played one match for the season. His final league game was at full forward in Round 1, 1948.
Bell trained with St Kilda in 1949 but didn't play a senior match.
