4 - Kysaiah Pickett
Against the top of the table Swans, Melbourne split a 10 goal first quarter, before going to half time three goals behind, after eight lead changes.
Melbourne's attempts to clog up the corridor of the SCG to stop Sydney playing their natural game began to come unstuck in the third quarter, and the margin reached 36 points in the fourth term, before a fightback led by Kysaiah Pickett led to four consecutive goals, cutting the margin to just 11 points, before the Swans kicked the final goal of the game.
Best were Kysaiah Pickett, Tom Sparrow, and Max Gawn. Brody Mihocek injured his hamstring in the first quarter. Jack Steele was finsed $1000 for engaging in a melee/wrestling.
