Quick winger, drafted after impressing with his development in the NEAFL. He had previously been a member of the Brisbane Lions academy system before being released at 15-years-old. He grew 13cm between then and being drafted by Melbourne.
Baker was challenging for a spot in the senior side in late 2018 when a hamstring injury late in the season finished his year, also keeping him out of the Casey Demons finals campaign. He made his debut the next year, playing nine games. He returned for three games in 2020. Baker played a further three times the next year, twice as unused medical substitute, and was not selected in the senior side at all in 2022. Played in Casey's 2022 VFL premiership side but was delisted at the end of the season. He then joined the Western Bulldogs as a free agent.
Wore a black armband in all his games as a tribute to his mother, who passed away from cancer.
