Career statistics
Former St Kilda rover cleared to Melbourne in June 1952. He'd made six unsuccessful clearance applications, before discovering a loophole in VFL clearance laws that allowed him to be cleared by the league. Wicks failed to break out of the Seconds for the remainder of 1952 and was cleared to VFA side Moorabbin in April 1953.
