DOB: 9 January 1996
From: Hampton Rovers/Sandringham Dragons, selection #3 2014 National Draft
Number: 10 2015-
Games: 94* (to end 2020)
The son of former North Melbourne player Mark was drafted as a clearance winning player to boost the Demons' midfielder stocks. He made his debut in the first round of 2015, and went on to play all but one game for the season. Brayshaw finished fifth in the end of season Rising Star voting.
He had a delayed start to his second season, suffering a knee injury at the first bounce of Melbourne's opening practice match which kept him out of the rest of the pre-season games. He suffered a number of injuries early in the season, including repeated concussions, which restricted him to 10 matches. More concussion problems in 2017 further kept him out of the game for most of the season, playing the first two and last three games. Late in the season he switched to a helmet to protect his head.
In 2019 he was played in a number of positions, playing every game for the season but failing to recapture the form of 2018. He was a regular in the midfield again in 2014 but struggled to have an impact.
