AIS/AFL Academy graduate and Victoria Metro representative in 2008 who played much of his football at Yarra Valley Grammar. Suffered a broken leg midway throughout the year during a schoolyard mishap and missed most of the season.
Blease returned through the Casey Demons reserves in 2010 but despite breaking into their senior side at the end of the year he failed to play a senior match. He was assigned Number 46 in both 2009 and 2010.
Despite not playing, and being injured again in the VFL finals, Blease signed a contract extension at the end of the season to keep him at the club until 2012. He eventually made his debut as a substitute in Round 15, 2011 and was given a Rising Star nomination in his fourth match.
Unwanted early in the reign of Mark Neeld, Blease was forced to work on his tackling and defensive pressure before winning a regular spot in the senior side. He won 29 possessions in his second match of the year but was dropped just a month later but after breaking through as a late replacement for the Round 13 win over Greater Western Sydney he played the rest of the season.
Blease earned a second rising star nomination after kicking five goals in the Demons' Round 18 loss to St Kilda, and signed a contract extension the next week.
He missed the start of the 2013 season after suffering an ankle injury in Melbourne's opening NAB Cup Match and had a disappointing season overall - playing 10 games but only kicking five goals and having more than 10 possessions just twice for the whole season before an ankle injury finished his season in Round 21.
2014 was his worst year, confined to the Casey Demons until Round 18, then playing just two games before being dropped never to return to the side.
In mid-September it was announced that Blease and the club had agreed to part ways, and he was signed as a delisted free agent by Geelong in November and played one game for them the next year before retiring late in 2015 after suffering a serious concussion.
Served as the Western Bulldogs AFLW midfield coach, and interim senior coach during 2019.
