Forward who signed during 1944 but wasn't cleared to the club until the following season. He made his debut early in the year and played seven games as a half-forward flank, then returned for three as full forward in 1946. He'd given notice of his talent as a spearhead when he kicked 15 goals in an exhibition game at Warracknabeal.

Cleared to VFA side Brighton in April 1948.

His brother trialled with the side in the 1946 pre-season but was not selected.
