Strong, quick, and aggressive small forward, who was drafted after playing at senior level in the SANFL. Debuted in the opening game of 2020 and kicked two goals. He played a further 13 games for five more goals, and won a Rising Star nomination.
Despite a delayed pre-season due to the death of a family member, Pickett had further success in his second season, playing all 25 games and kicking 40 goals as the Demons Grand Final 2021 won the premiership. He kicked a further 41 goals in 2022, only missing one game for the year and booting a career high six in the Round 18 win over Port Adelaide. In Round 22 he kicked a goal with 11 seconds left to win the game against Carlton.
