Returned to Preston in 1945, then played with VFA side Brunswick from 1947 to 1949.
He served as Reserves Runner in 1964, reserves timekeeper in 1965, as a recruiter from 1966 to 1968 and on the Reserves Committee betweeen 1969 and 1980 when he became the Assistant Reserves Team Manager. In 1982 he was named a life member of the club.
