DOB: 8 September 1996
From: Woodville-West Torrens/Henley/Glenelg, selection #42 (father/son) 2014 National Draft
Number: 15 (2015-2019)
The son of former Demon Steven joined the club as a father/son pick at the end of the 2014 season. He had previously won six best and fairest awards in junior football, before joining SANFL side Glenelg in 2009. He made his senior debut for the side in 2014 and represented South Australia in the Under 18 championships. Adelaide bid its second pick in the National Draft on Stretch, forcing Melbourne to use their third selection to secure him.
Stretch made his debut early in the season and goalled with his first kick from a set shot, going on to play 11 games in his first season. In his second year he was used in defence and became a regular, but 2017 was a less successful year with only nine games played. Before the 2018 season he signed a contract extension to the end of 2019 but continued to be out of favour. He played one game early in the season before being dropped back to the VFL. He returned in Round 16, but after playing the best game of his career was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his toe that put him out for the rest of the season.
Stretch had a more successful 2019, playing nine games, but couldn't consolidate his position in the side, being dropped three times during the year. He was delisted at the end of the year and rejoined Glenelg, where he played through 2023.
