DOB: 30 August 1891
Died: 11 September 1953
From: Long Gully/South Bendigo

The former firefighter replaced the departed Hedley Tomkins as Melbourne's number one rover in 1914 and played every match for the year. In the Round 6 game against Carlton he was voted best-on-ground in a game despite it later being diagnosed that he was suffering from measles.
Early in 1915 he left to join Bendigo City.
His real first name was Albert, and some sources list his name as "Andy".
