Andrew Nichol

DOB: 1 December 1974

Ex-Footscray player (three games in 1995), Nichol served as Defensive Development coach from 2012 to 2013.

Before joining Melbourne he was in charge of the under-16 Vic Metro academy program and an assistant coach at TAC Cup side Oakleigh. He had also been an assistant coach at VFL side Box Hill in the past.

Nichol was acting as a runner who caused the club to be fined $2000 for standing on the foot of Richmond's Jake King when trying to separate players in a melee during the Round 8, 2013 loss to Richmond.

He was not offered a new contract at the end of 2013
