Ruckman who crossed to the Demons on the understanding that he would return to Mentone if required for finals. The former Federal League premiership player went back to his original side for their finals campaign near the end of 1968, and the ruckman/defender was lightly played across the next three seasons.
1971 was his best year with nine games but he was deemed surplus to requirements and in 1972 Weekes was cleared to VFA side Prahran.
