First on the list as a Reserves player in 1968, the defender was toast of the town after beating Peter Hudson in Round 2, 1970 but found himself out of favour just weeks later after being pummelled by St. Kilda's Rex Hunt.
Late that season he had a bone graft in his wrist and missed the start of 1971 while recovering from the injury. He returned to play reserves games but never appeared in another senior contest. At the end the year he was released and joined Oakleigh in the VFA.
