Melbourne Footballers Cricket Club

Matches were played by Melbourne footballers as a team as early as 1892, but an official club featuring both current and ex-players was formed for the 1921/22 season. The MCC gave the club the use of an asphalt pitch next to the MCG. The club played in the Metropolitan League from 1921/22.
