1976 recruit midfielder. Despite kicking three goals against Port Adelaide in the last practice match of the 1980 pre-season that year did not play seniors. Still playing in the reserves in 1981, before moving to Frankston mid-season. He remained there until the end of 1987.

In 1989, Czarnecki signed for VFA side Dandenong during the season but retired without playing a game due to recurring back and hamstring injuries.
