18-year-old International Scholarship Player identified by Recruiting Manager Jason Taylor on a trip to New Zealand, and signed in 2013 as the Demons first international player in a decade.

Westrupp represented New Zealand in junior volleyball and tennis before impressing at a draft combine in his home country and being invited to Australia for a trial, where he impressed and was signed.

After training with the Demons in Melbourne, Westrupp returned to New Zealand to gain experience in their local competition before returning to play in the Casey Demons Development squad.

He played two matches for the Casey Demons seniors during 2014 before returning to New Zealand.
