Listed in AFL records under his full name of Pasqualino Taglieri-Sclocchi, Lino joined the Melbourne Under 19s as a 17-year-old in 1986 after being named Preston Under 19's Most Courageous Player and Best Player in the Finals.

Over three seasons at the Demons he played Under 19s in 1986 and 1987 but suffered a fractured tibia in his second season. He was delisted before the beginning of the 1989 season and joined Queensland side Windsor-Zillmere for two years, then played one season with North Brisbane. He returned to Victoria to join Reservoir Lakeside, becoming player coach in 1995.

In 1998 and 1999 he played for Ivanhoe-Assumption amateurs before returning to Queensland again as a player/Reserves coach with first Zillmere Eagles and then Mayne Tigers where he played until the end of 2004.
