Player from 1876 to 1884, described in 1881 as "goal sneak of the team". He had previously played for Albert Park in 1871 before appearing with St Kilda in 1874 and 1875. He left Albert Park after they merged with North Melbourne before the 1876 season.

Also played for University 1873 and 1875.

Left for Queensland during the 1881 season but later returned. Once his football career had finished for good he moved back to Queensland and lived there through 1919.

His brother James also played for the team.
