James Macdonald

The brother of John Macdonald played in 1875 - 1877 and 1880.

He was secretary and vice-captain in 1877.

After his football career he studied in Sydney, Edinburgh, Leipzig and Oxford. In the 1880s and 1890s he served as a chaplain in British India and lived in Palestine.

At Albert Park 1872 to 1874, University 1873 and 1875 and St Kilda 1875.

Some sources list him as "McDonald". Likely born 7 February 1857
