George Tait

From: Scotch College

Player from 1860 to 1861 and 1863 to 1864.

Also appeared with South Yarra in 1860 and 1864, Richmond and St Kilda in 1861, Geelong from 1861 to 1863, and University in from 1863 to 1865. At Albert Park/South Melbourne 1867 to 1870.

He also played one intercolonial cricket match in the 1863/64 season.

Tait later left Australia for Scotland where he became a reverend. He returned in 1870 and was named the first principal of Ladies' College (today's Presbyterian Ladies College) in 1875 and served there until 1879.
