Secretary Jim Cardwell signed both Colin and his older cousin Michael with an eye to the more senior Graham - already a star in the SANFL - playing first but a clearance wrangle meant Michael never joined.

Mike Collins was swapped to South Adelaide for the rights to Graham, and the new recruit made his VFL senior debut after just two Under 19 and two reserves games.

A left footer with a long kick, he booted a goal from 60 metres out with a strong breeze to give Melbourne the lead in an exciting last quarter at Moorabbin in Round 9, 1977.

After five senior and two Reserves games in 1978 he moved back to South Australia in June, citing homesickness and unsuccessfully sought a clearance to Norwood. Trained with Fitzroy in the 1979 pre-season but they didn’t bid for him and he was instead cleared to ACT club Belconnen. Graham joined Woodville in 1980 and also played for Sturt in 1985.

Notes
This article says he played six combined reserves/U19s games.

Most sources don't list him as being from South Adelaide. He may never have played with them but they may have held his playing rights to swap to the Demons. Also played some juniors with Central Districts but it's not clear in which order.

May have also played for Kyabram.
