Henry Campbell Brady was the brother of Laurie Brady and kicked five goals on debut against a University side who would go on to lose every game of the season.

The rover was cleared to St Kilda before Round 4, 1914 but did not play a match for them. Instead joined Hawthorn in their first VFA season, remaining there through the first half of 1915.

He was also a well known cricketer in his district, playing against an MCC team in the Western District.

In 1915 he enlisted with the army and served during World War I.
