1912 pre-season player, who trialed at the club alongside fellow ex-Richmond player Mick Maguire. He'd previously played four seasons at Punt Road.
He instead applied for a clearance to St Kilda, and after initially being refused was allowed to move on appeal. He played there for six years before returning to Richmond for a final season in 1921. Coached Warracknabeel for three seasons between 1921 and 1930, then coached Richmond to a losing Grand Final in 1933.
