Left footer who was an AIS/AFL Scholarship player in 2003 and represented Australia against Ireland in the 2004 Under 17's series. Regarded as one of the quickest player in that year's TAC Cup he was drafted as a rookie days after his 18th birthday.
Gianfagna played in the first pre-season cup game of 2006 but failed to feature again and spent the rest of the year in the Sandringham reserves before a shoulder injury ended his season. He only played one senior game for the Zebras during the season.
Assigned number 42 in 2006 but was delisted at the end of the season.
Played for the Northern Bullants from 2008 to 2013.
Became an AFL rookie umpire in 2016, elevated to the senior list in 2017 and made his debut in 2018.
