1940s Seconds player who died while serving with the 15th Operational Training Unit of the RAAF during World War II.

His brothers Gordon and Doug played league football with Richmond. In 1938 he played beside Doug at Albury, then went to Richmond the next season before returning to Albury.He again trained with the Tigers during the 1940 and 1941 pre-seasons, returned to the country. In 1941 he was with South Albury, and also played representative cricket for the Victorian Junior Association.

In February 1942 he was killed during air combat in Tunis. He had previously been attached to a Wellington bomber squadron in England.

Strang also played with St Kilda seconds.
