1960 Exhibition Match vs North Adelaide

Saturday 8 October - Adelaide Oval
North Adelaide vs Melbourne

Melbourne won by by six goals

Had Norwood won the South Australian Grand Final the Demons would have had to play in a modified Victorian jumper due to a colour clash with the opposition. In the end the SA Redlegs were defeated, and Melbourne were allowed to play in their traditional strip against premiers North Adelaide.

The only change Melbourne made from their Grand Final team was to omit Trevor Johnson, on holidays in Western Australia, in favour of Terry Gleeson who had missed the finals series due to a broken leg.

Best on ground was Bob Johnson.
